E90 removing rear seats help!

Hello all,

I am in the process of removing my rear seats from my E90.. I have taken everything out other then the 2 T50 bolts on the bottom middle... Tried for hours and they are REALLY ON! I got this big impact gun and managed to get one off... But the other one is gone. Head is stripped.

Anyone have an idea how to take it out? Don't want to mess up the leather, it's in a super tight place.. Or any other idea how to take the seat out with out that bolt?

Thanks!

You have yourself in a predicament. How the hell did you do that brother? We're they really on that tight or did you not have the correct tools? Mine popped right off with hand tools. Anyhow your looking at if you can jimmy a die cutter back there cut a slot for a flat head and go at it otherwise cut the bitch off and replace

I would get a helper. Then I'd take a piece of 1/4-inch plywood and place it between the bolt head and leather seat back; have the helper hold the wood in place for you. Then get a die grinder and grind the head off. You'll have to get a 1/2 drill (bit) to maybe get the head to pop off. Grinding the head is the way I'd go with it.

Took about 14 hours. Was super tuff, I used the T50 to get it out but it was super super super tight, I finally got it off with all the grinders and drills I had at home. Didn't touch the leather!

Thanks guys!
