Hi there,

It's nice to meet you all here.

I am not living in Japan, but I will normally visit Japan once a year for vacation with my family. Just this Feb we have spent 3 days in Hakone, and I have rented a Prius for the trip. Donno if I can rent a BMW though

Except the portion within Tokyo city (some expected traffic), all the way from airport to Hakone (also Hakone back Tokyo) is excellent! Too bad I did not tried too hard on my Prius...

Also need to mention the fantastic GPS (Car Navi) system that helps a foreigner like me to drive like at home.

Hope I can meet you guys to say hi, in Hakone or somewhere else, in sometime future!

Where abouts outside of Tokyo, I am not too far outside also. I was in Yokohama but recently (4/2007)moved to Fujisawa.

Just for vacation. Japan is just too big a country to visit every year. It is safe and easy for family esp. with kids. We have been only to Tokyo/Hakone, Sendai, and Southwest part of Hokkaido (we took the Doraemon train before it closed last last summer). My two kids love Hokkaido very much -> because of "ice cream everyday" there...

Too bad the recent strong Yen, not easy now to plan for the next one... so will go to Taiwan later this Christmas instead, while looking forward to the next visit perhaps to Osaka... :sad0147:
