335 AT stock Vs Charger SRT8

Can a 335 stock sport beat a stock Charger SRT8 on straight drag?

The 2011 STR8 is 470 hp and 470 lb-ft so that is a no. Also a stock SRT8 can do 0-60 in about 4.7.

A tuned 335 is another story though.

I've heard anything from 4.7-5.5 ish on our stock cars.
Depends on the weather, road conditions, elevation, and driver skills.

Some where in the 5-5.6 range depending on environment, stick\automatic, rwd-xdrive, etc.

It's the weight that makes the difference, it would favor the 335i albeit in a close race, stock vs stock, I think?

Youíll always beat up on NA cars at that type of altitude.

Regardless, stock for stock at sea level itís probably not happening. The SRTís are boats but 470bhp is no joke. Car and Driver got an N54 E90 to 60 in something like mid-high 4s, which is extremely difficult in the real world. For your average joe, low 5s is much more likely.

Correct. N/A c5 z06's have a hard time running 13.999 stock.

That is why 4 out of 6 cars that ive owned have been turbo cars / trucks. It really makes the N/A guys mad

its the altitude. There really aren't any stock N/A cars that can run 12's up here. Ive seen vipers trap 108-109mph with some mods but they still spin too much to hit 12's without slicks. I've seen audi r8's run low 13's. New 5.0's run about 13.9.

Come to think of it, I don't think ive ever seen a stock N/A car run 12's at bandimere.

First off, wow! Very surprised what altitude does to N/A motors, I knew it helped turbos but didn't think it has such effects on non-turbos.

Second, they still are "boats" and look like they couldn't take a corner to save their lives.

Thanks for the altitude info. It's interesting how that works.
