The garage makes the stock muffler sound 100x better than it actually does on the street, I could barely hear it at all. With the gutted muffler its much throatier at all RPMs but, like everyone has mentioned in the past, it sounds stock at idle. Resonated X-Pipe is going on this weekend and should blow panties off.
BTW im going to get a ton of shit for this but, I did not replace the perforated pipes. I chose to be cheap and lazy and wrapped the pipes with exhaust tape from autozone($5) and then wrapped that with gorilla tape. The muffler shouldnt get too hot so I am not all that worried. Maybe it will start to come apart in a year but who knows. |

All 4, the wrap should hold up for a while but I have a feeling when I put the catless x-pipe on there the muffler is going to run significantly hotter and the wrapping will fail. Not to worried about it though, I figured Id give it a shot and see how it holds up overtime.
