This seems to be only isolated to the European maps as the North America maps doesnt show such issues.

This is fortunate for North American users, but it is a shame for a European premium car manufacturer. I really hope this is going to be fixed in the 2014-2 version (I don't really expect a patch for this 2014-1...). It is also really weird that in the European maps some of the European countries are missing and only the main road network is there, for example Serbia, where there are the two main roads and nothing more, while NAVTEQ has an almost fully detailed map for whole Europe. BMW chose to license only parts of it for a reason unknown to me.

You can shut it off. Goto navigation then to options. Settings and find point of interest. Either press none or you might have it on fuel stations so uncheck the box next to it

You can ask a local coder to code your CIC unit...Fuel stop proposal...Tell them to make that aktiv

Another happy customer. I have never downloaded anything to a usb and I was a little scared about the whole process, But Baccus walked me though it. I'm glad I used him.
Question: If someone else wanted to update their map can they use my zip drive and just pay for the code?

Yes they can use your usb...It would be the same map data used for their CIC headunit...The only difference is the activation code thats needed since its vin specific to each car.

I am glad you got it to work!

Post 2014 CIC Navigation Map Update

Hi Baccus,
Another Very Happy Customer. I am an older guy and computers are not my expertize!! I was a little afrair of messing something up in doing the 2014 Nav update on my 2010 BMW 335xi, but Baccus assured me, I would not have any problems that he could not help me fix. I needed the 4 yr map updates and Baccus's price & customer support can NOT be beat!! Bottom line, with Baccus's help via e-mails and phone calls, I was finally able to install the updates driving my car around my development in about 40 minutes. In the end everything went smoothly with Baccus's very professional help.
Sincerely,
TYJoe

Perfect update! Had a 7 hour road trip yesterday, updated it while on the go, took about an hour and a half and it was all set. Rebooted the CIC while driving and when it came back it had a much better route for getting to the boonies. Thanks Baccus!

Just a quick question, I did not purchase my code or 2014 maps from Baccus, but I noticed after I upgraded my 2010 maps to 2014 on my 2011 335is, all of my stereo settings were reset.... EQ set to flat, memory buttons erased, treble & bass set to 0...

Did anyone else experience this? Once I reset everything it stayed even after disconnecting the battery to replace steering wheel trim.
