E90/91 335 exhaust conversion

After a change of heart I've decided not to mod my car any further, so am selling on the bits I rounded up for the exhaust conversion.

As new bumper bar with hangers

Brand new unused genuine BMW diffuser

Complete 335i system. This was cut behind the cats to fit it into the car, can easily be welded back together or use a joiner

Collection only from Thorpe Waterville, Northamptonshire, will not post due to size and weight.
150 for the lot, will not split

Is this a straight forward job if fitting to a 330d or any other e90. Just saying what other people might be thinking GLWTS

It's a pretty basic job for anyone experienced with exhausts, just compare yours to the 335 one and work out where its best to splice them together to make a hybrid

I'm amazed these haven't been snapped up as it's rediculously cheap!
I've seen rusty 2nd hand bumper bars on eBay for over 100 on their own.
Couple more days and I'll put it all on eBay for what it's all worth

I do still want to fit it, but don't want to spend any further cash on the car as I'm thinking about changing for an M3

If you weren't 2.5 hrs away from me I would come and take it all. I'll have a serious think about coming down to you and let you know.

one question, are there not differences between the 335i and 335d exhaust systems?

I'm looking to convert it to fit a 320d system so its probably more work with me not having 6 cylinders. Not sure how this effects the hangers too.

As above, im half hour from you and will come grab it asap as long as the 6 cylinder to 4 isnt going to be too much of a problem...

1st post on here, and this is exactly what i joined for, to find the 335 rear!

I've looked into it more, and think that with the extra fab work needed for fitting to a 320d it's not going to be for me. Plus I'm uncertain a 335i exhaust would be ok for a Diesel engine anyway...

If you decide to break the lot ill take the diffuser. Possibly the bumper hanger too.

i have a 330d system on my 320d, its the same single pipe on a 330 as a 320, so will require the same amount of work to fit.

namely an exhaust shop to cut your existing system, fabricate (or pick the correct size out of a catalog) a Y joint to fit onto the 335 middle box, and then fit it all to your car.

ok, diesel to diesel, fair enough. But, excuse my ignorance, what with installing diesels exhaust system onto 325 petrol?

looking at this diagram:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...89&hg=18&fg=20

it would seem that the 325i has a dual pipe system up to the centre box same as the 335d, so it should be even easier to fit this to a 325i because you don't need a Y pipe, just a couple of joining pipes, and the 335D system is larger bore than the 325i to boot.

the only additional thing that would be required for this, is i believe you need to remove/change the plastic storage area under the boot floor on non-335's as the twin backbox would foul it. this storage bin just bolts in so is easy to remove. its part number 14 in this diagram:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...28&hg=51&fg=65

personally i would just remove the bin and fit a metal blank in its place.

Is the floor pan different in the 335 vs 330 - would the dual back boxes fit?
And, is the pipe diameter the same? As this was designed for a turbo engine, would it have an effect on a N/A engine? (330i).

Only asking as I will take you up on this exhaust depending on the above.

As above, you need the different floor section. Ive got the part number for it if needed and its about 44 + p&p
I wouldn't of thought the exhaust size would make much difference if any

Ill take just the back box's if all else fails.
Then you can sell the rear valance way easier. Then weight in the mid cats like I did for 90 quid.

Theres loads more money in solitting that imo.

Pm me if you want rid of the back box's.

That way people cant cry about having to soend more than 8 quid on my pe exhaust I have for sale. Lol

Hi mate, can't contact you via PM as new user etc.

Any chance you would package this for postage? Obviously postage would be paid for on my behalf?
