Exhaust flap removal

I'm about to change the exhaust tips in my 335i and thought if I could remove the whole actuator at the same time. Has anyone done this or do people just use the "t-mod" instead? I would like to get rid of the rattle, when it's opening and closing during startup... (using jb4 to keep it open)

I just unplug it right in the trunk.

Takes like 20 and no rattle.

And just to clarify to others; it takes 20 seconds not minutes.

I would personally use the golf T mod to do this because even the exhaust flapper is ran off vacuum and I don't know what kind of effect it has on the system if you just unplug it. Its probably alright but I would double check just incase you loose vacuum....

If you just unplug it (via wiring harness) I'm pretty sure it continually throws a shadow code to the DME.
