I think he means the 120k /10 year thing for the HPFP. The injectors are not covered under this. The Injectors had their own TSB but I don't think it included a warranty, just a provision for the dealers to change them on cars with certain production dates.

Call your dealer, give them your VIN number and ask if your injectors have been recalled.

Lol, I completely understand. Teenage brother here, even though we are 9 years apart and live in different states he still does anything he can to irk me. The little sister is even worse though!

Are the fuel injectors covered under the additional pre-owned certified warranty? I am buying a 2011 E92 and the dealer said I get an extra 50k mi. warranty (up to 100k mi.). What does that cover? I have a feeling not much, and it's not like the basic 50k warranty(?)

The car I am looking at purchasing has 24.5k mi. When can I expect the injectors to fail?

That is the CPO warranty. If I'm not mistaken that warranty only covers major repairs and not general wear items, ie belts, spark plugs etc. Looks like your injectors would be covered, especially if there was a TSB out on them earlier. It's a grey area open to lots of interpretation though.

It should be covered as it is a major component of the engine and is not a filter or a wear item...
