I think he meant why not buy a female ciggy lighter extension cable and then put the navi adpater into that rather than mutilate the power cable that came with the nav.

I only have 2 inches of wire showing.
The exposed adaptor also charges my phone. |

I dont think it would cause a problem, the car has so many vents that it wont make a difference, and theres some space between them. Whenever I put my hands in front of the center vents I barely feel the air blowing.

can anyone write up a DIY for installing an aftermarket headunit?
I would love to have that JVC in my car. small single single din headunit with navigation built in...... how would one go about replacing the headunit? is it just a matter of a wiring harness and getting the radio out? thanks |

hey guys, I did that install myself it was pretty easy, as far as the navigation goes you need to buy the canbus adaptor and split that into an ecu wiring harness ( CanBus comes with instruction on which cable to tap in) pm me if you need more info or pics that i took during installation.

The Kuda mount that goes to the speaker grille in front is a very good option, allows for a very clean install. I'll post a pic of mine (though I guess it will leave traces on the dash after being installed for a few years).
