E92 Aerokit Rear bumper... Is it possible to change the diffuser ?
As per the title, is it possible to change the diffuser on an aerokit (per-lci) rear bumper ?
The exhaust tip configuration is different between the 330i and 335i/d, so just want to be sure that it can be swapped without changing the entire bumper... ? Any thoughts appreciated! |

are you talking about this aero rear bumper?
If so, then no, there is NO diffuser. The entire bumper is one piece, so therefore you must get a bumper specific to the exhaust configuration...

Thanks... In fairness, doesn't seem to be much info about.
Does anyone know the part number for the correct diffuser if want to install on a 335i? |

According to realoem, it lists "turbo" 51120414376 as the rear trim piece (#4), but it'd be safe to just go to a BMW dealer to confirm...

Spoke to a BMW dealer today, who pointed out the same image from realoem... Only problem is that picture shows a cut-out for the exhaust on one side only...
When I looked that part number on realoem, it shows compatibility for the 335i/d, which implies it has a dual cutout (one per side)... Now even more confused, and the BMW dealer say that if they order it (has to come from Germany), then I own it, even if it isn't the correct part! May have to try another dealer who is willing to be more helpful... |
