Auto transmission issue

i recently change my transmission on a 335i and suddenly the DS mode doesn't work. I physically checked the wires of the shifter and all is well. Do i need to program the replaced transmission?

Did you open the black tape for the wires to see if there are any hidden cuts/frays/breaks... They could be hard to see. While u r there, might as well do the wire routing mod so they have more slack.

i checked all the wires in details and then made loose to prevent further issues. the shifter was working quite fine prior to the change of the transmission.

Can you "reset" that transmission?...it sounds to me like something needs to be turned on or re-activated.

I guess you could do a continuity test to be sure you have "good" wires....

Im not sure of the mechanical set up of that shifter, but when you move the lever over to DS mode, can you get the car to manually shift by moving the lever up and down, or is that feature disabled too?

can you see the DS mode come on in the dash when you move the lever over?...can you see the D1, D2, D3, ect when you move the lever up and down?
