Aux cable in e92 335i humming noise

I have a faint humming noise when playing things through my aux cable. Its only noticeable when the music gets quieter, but it drives me nuts. I also own a 325 e90 that does not make the noise...

I wonder if it has something to do with a bad cable/aux port. I replaced the cable and it still exists, so I'm unsure. Anyone have this same problem?

I guess it's more of a whine or scratchy noises. Either way, it's a logic7.

I had a similar issue when playing music from my phone in my 2008 328xi. As Stream said, it helps to reduce the AUX volume in the settings to 1 or 2. You should also turn the volume on your playing device to 100%. The buzz won't go away entirely, but that way the music will be relatively louder than the feedback so you won't notice it [as much].

If you have an iPhone, try one of these: (30-pin connector to 3.5mm and USB, so it charges while playing)

You can also pick one of these up to complete the setup: (Griffin powerjolt 12V USB charger)

I then routed the cable under the rubber tray and out the passenger side of the center console so I wouldn't crush the cable with the armrest. It's a clean setup that does the job nicely.

Do you have a picture of your set up. I have an iPhone 5. I'd need a lightning cable one instead of the 30 pin. Where do you reduce the AUX settings?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Here are two pics from my setup, but I use an iPhone 4S with the 30 pin connector so it's not quite what you're looking for.

I also have a 5c that works just as well, but the catch is that you have to run separate cables - both the AUX and Lightning cable. I've seen adaptors on amazon that has both plugs in one unit and acts as a dock... that might be one way to get around it but I haven't looked further into it.

We're you able to find the Aux volume control? First go to the aux audio input, then there will only be one soft button labeled AUX-VOL. The rest should be pretty self explanatory...

I don't have that. Wonder if my iDrive is too old?
