What to do first

I am new to BMW and all the different mods.
What order would you recommend adding mods to increase the performance.

Install a boost gauge. If you're planning engine performance mods, it should be your first.

Depends on your budget, Eisenmann if you have the dough, or look at CP-E if you want bang for buck, they seems to have really good quality and people has nothing but good things to say about it, best of all, their primary cat-back system is even cheaper than Eisenmann's muffler alone.

just to make sure you are running where you want to be... right now on 91 octane the procede program is safe for no more than 15psi, so the key is to not exceed that and possibly risk damage...

Welcome to the forum!!

No offense but you are asking lots of questions about things that have been discusssed in great detail and you seem to follow up each reply with an additional question. You would probably be well served to do searches on the items that you are inquiring about since you will find entire threads about the subject as opposed to just one persons short reply.

It would also help to know how much knowledge and experience you have related to modding cars and specifically turbocharged cars. If you have no real understanding of turbos you might want to start with this to get a basic understanding:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo

Also important is to know what type of budget and what kind of timeline you are looking at as far as modding. Are you comfortable doing DIY type mods that are required for many, but not all of the ECU upgrades?

You will find the folks here very helpful and many have incredible amounts of experience and knowledge about cars and 335i's in particular.

Bottom line as it relates to straightline performance is an ECU mod is by far the best bang for the buck. You were asking about the SSTT Turbo Tuner) earlier so you should do seaches on that and in addition search Procede, Juice Box or JB2, JB2R, JB2H, Xede, Helix, Dinan and a few others. The cheapest (and my personal favorite) is the Juice Box (JB) line of "chips". Most expensive is the Dinan flash and the others fall in between these 2 as far as price goes.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy your car.
