Double Din Heated Seats

I'm looking at installing a double din, I'm looking at the metra kit for the dash and harness. I saw something for sv concepts heated seat relocation and am unable to find it, also something like jlevi but cannot find either. Would a head unit with a harness be plug and play or am I going to encounter issues?

There are side effects depending on options

There are side effects depending on options
If you have SOS it will not work and throw and error
code .
If you a have PDC it will not work , BMW bluetooth will not work.
You can code out the SOS error.
If you need repair from a BMW dealership there diag computer will not
work without the BMW Head Unit installed.

The solution is to install the Head Unit in the Trunk or somewhere
in the car .

Also the L7 amp is incompatible with anything but the BMW Head Unit
if you have Hi Fi you are OK.
Most of the Hi Fi aftermarket harnesses have speaker outs hooked up
not RCA preamp signals.

I have HiFi and I'm pretty sure I don't have any of those functions. Will the factory amp work with a new head unit?

A Hi fi amp will work but an L7 won't

An L7 amp only has optical inputs .
Please read the audio build thread.

Alright, so far my audio output would be good to go. I'm somewhat looking into modifying a double din bezel for a nexus 7 mount and relocate the stock head unit/input the tablet via stock auxiliary port ran through carpet.

But, this still leaves the issue of heated seats-I had seen posts from 2011 about various options but can no longer find the products. Who makes these now?

Just get the newer.climate control with the heated seat buttons built in. You should be able to find one on eBay for under 100 bucks.
