bluetooth and v505

hi, i've searched the threads to try and figure this out with a motorola v505, but can't.

i got my car today (LOVE IT) and the dealer got my motorola v505 to pair with my phone, but it doesn't automatically do it each time i get in my car. i've only got it to do it once since then (and i don't know what i did), and i've been in and out of my car a few times and it won't work. any tips? thanks.

check the phone's settings -- my Motorola V710 has a setting that will disallow an automatic Bluetooth connection.

make sure that it is set to automatically pair.

In my phone it was Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Link > Setup.

I think the option is "find me"

There is also a setting on the car, but I'm assuming the dealer set that up right. On my car, I get at it with iDrive.

hmm, i tried the "find me" thing, and it's still hit or miss. i don't have idrive, but i don't know what difference that should make.

I don't think it affects performance, it's just that the only way I know how to find the settings is with idrive.
