Well, yeah you could do that but, who wants to pull that crap apart to get to the serial connector every time you put race gas in as opposed to just blipping the throttle when you start it or flipping an actual switch.

Lol i dont think it has bothered most procede users from this point. We have been doing it from the beginning like this. So Im not sure if it makes a difference.

And some people just put there cable through the firewall into the glove box.

I never said control it like Vtech.

If you can vary ignition timing, boost and, AFR through out the operating range the way the factory ECU does why would not be able to alter cam timing the same way the factory does just to different settings.

Yep, but keep in mind the exhaust is just a half exhaust, the real gains comes from ther catless downpipes.

VANOS?
If the results are even half as good as manipulating the Mivec intake cam timing on the IX was, it'll further cement the PROcede the must have engine control device!

Ohh boy, this is going to be the thread of the year. Congrats shiv on your accomplishment.

Its amazing that you can make that much power with a simple piggy back system.

Now lets see some videos!!!

First thing I would do is damp down that 3200 rpm peak. Ahh, the beauty of the adjustable power map!

Good God those are some big numbers! Hurry up with V2.02 as 2.01 seems to have some miss (under extreme loads)in a few cars including mine.

It was already at 80% down there. After putting down that much torque, I never really thought of stepping it up I'm guessing we could have seen 450-470lbft of torque at the wheels if we bumped it up to 100%. We'll see soon enough I guess.

and Uncorrected:

FWIW, this wasn't even our highest run. The best peak numbers from todays tuning session came from this run:

It was early in the tuning process so boost curve is a little bumpy with boost taper occurring too early (6700rpm).

Full Disclosure:
Today's runs were on 98 octane, not 91oct pump gas. These results are with stock downpipes/stock primary cats. We will be installing catless downpipes as soon as we get them from Riss Racing. That means that the only exhaust mod is our cat-back which replaces the secondary cats. We are still running the stock intercooler and diverter valves as well. We are playing around with a custom intake design but have yet to quantify its effects. Still too busy with PROcede mapping to get to that point just yet. We figured you guys just wanted to know what the car is capable of given just over 1 year of development time. I'm guessing that there is still another 20-30whp in there too v2 baby.
Cheers,
Shiv

Wow you have doing tons of dyno on the 335i.. you got about 140X sample on the dyno.. i did not know this car can handle over 140 + times.. very impressive. Congrad for your good work.. 400 and 400 lbs of torque.. i hope to see my v2 soon.. i know u got those pre config on the v2 for us.

Shiv what would you recommend as the min octane rating with this map?

98?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but until 3rd party dynos show this, it's pretty easy to trick a dyno into reading what you want.

The limits of our engine yet to be found. Somebody has to blow something up.

I think the exhaust on the Vishnu car is more for sound than performance.
These gains are mostly the tune + 98 oct...things around here are going to get very interesting now.

Something has to be done with the tranny (especially the 6AT). 2008 should be interesting as the heavily modded 335i cars with V2 will mostly likely all be pushing 400+whp. As optimistic as I'd like to be, it will be interesting to see if there are any negative effects of that much extra power with no other drivetrain upgrades.

Let the field testing begin...

To sneak a phrase from Emril, BAMMMM!

What does the power curve feel like, seat-of-the pants? Predictable and controllable (well, insofar as 400+ whp can be...)? Or a bit peaky?
