Xenons has motors?

I brought my car in and had my dealer check my passenger side Euro Xenon since it is not self-levelling.

Anyway, to make the long story short, they are saying the motor is busted and that's why the self-levelling is not working. To make it work, I will need to get a replacement unit.

Anyone know if this is true? I was looking at realoem and it doesn't seem like there's an individual part for a motor...

Any helpful feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

ya, there are 2 motors in there, one for up/down. one for left/right. there is also a small actuator for the high beam in the Xenon

the motors are build into the housing. i dont think you can get them out without taking apart the headlight.

hey Kelvin,
no need for a new light, just change the motor.

kelvin,

its easy to remove the bumper, then the lights, I've done it a few times already.
takes about 15 minutes.

but one you get the headlight out you still need to get the motor out - and it screws in from the front of the light,..... Meaning you need to open the headlight up.......

I don't think I'm the DIY type who can take the bumper apart, esp. since mine has the headlight washer.

Either way, I got a quote for the passenger side, and it's almost the same price as the whole set. So it looks like I might just get another set of Euros now...

Actually, my source can get me one side only.

This is not through German eBay.

Aim is correct for my headlights, it just doesn't do the self-levelling on start up.
