LCI halogen headlight custom work in progress..
So I recently bought a pair of lci headlights for my pre lci e90. Main reason because wanted the angel eyes feature. After doing some research on angel eyes I decided to go with umnitza orion v2.5 and projector retrofit. I got carry away and decided to spray the inside of the headlight light anybody else would if they would crack open their headlight right? lol So far I have only painted the inside of the headlight, but would post more pictures as I progress. I just thought I would share!
special thanks to "dominators" a member of this forum who has helped me with the project. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

I'm putting it back probably this weekend. It would definitely decrease night visibility. I'm doing it because I'm going to do a projector retrofit so it doesn't matter. If you are thinking of blacking out your headlight I recommend just blacking the plastic and not the halogen bowl

thanks guys!
wow I didn't know you could retrofit turn signals I haven't finish yet, because umnitza its lagging to send me some backordered items! Actually the orion v4 and v2.5 came around the same time the reason I didn't went with v4 is because they wanted me to paid more for offset sizes I was not going to throw away money the v2.5 have more leds than the v2 so I'm happy they look nice to I tested them with my battery. |

will do, right now I wanted to get e46 projector shrouds, but umnitza is taking too long to send them because they have them on backordered, but I already order them from the retrofit source I should be able to finish it this weekend!

Yeah, they offer a projector retrofit kit which included
-projectors( your choice/extra cost) -your choice of HID kit -your choice of orion rings -and projector shrouds (you can contact them for availability) it was a decent price |

TRS guys are the best though, I'm sure you'll be more than happy with your stuff. I would test your Umnitza projectors before you retrofit them though, they're known for using some seriously bargain bin projectors that just end up sucking a lot. May be worth it to pay up for some quality ones through TRS. I'd hate to see you spend all this time and money on the retrofit, seal up your lights, and realize that the projectors are pieces of crap. |

What I would do is get a 12V battery or a battery tender or power supply or something of the sort, plug in the HID bulbs to the projector, and simply point the projector at the wall. Inspect the beam. Umnitza seems to ship projectors with extremely "bowed" (curving) beam patterns. The 10-15 minutes that will take will definitely pay off if the projectors are found to be of subpar quality!
