on my AT shifter, the aluminum is starting to peel. my SA advised me that it is replaceable under warrant. SWEEEEET! also all my doors are sticking. i guess thats a common problem?

oh well im going at 1 after my SA returns from lunch.

update: SA ordered new shift knob; he also lubed up door handles with silicone. now they are back to normal. only thing now that I have to do is pop on hand brake from **********s. the ///M one is a PITA to get off!

what dealer in jersey did you go to? my at has hardcore peeling but my dealer said it was only for the manuals.

also how do you remove the auto knob? pull straight out like the manuals?

yea you just pull it up. just put on the ebrake.

duno it was a christmas gift from my sister, but i checked **********s and it was $75....so yea. it is nice has finger grooves underneath. ill take better pics once i get my new knob; that was from my phone.

we don't have to remove the leather boot like the manuals? just open sunroof and pull the knob out?

you dont have to take the boot off for the manuals either

yes they did! it looks fuckin sweet!

the first pic is the original shifter. the aluminum goes over the shifter. the new updated one stops at the top, i guess for the reason i brought it in; that it starts peeling. also it feels like a SMG shifter now which is very cool. the rest of the pics are the updated shifter.

hey thats weird, the one in my 07 is the 2nd one you have pictured. i love how the ebrake matches though, and is that gloss black trim?

no. its the wood trim, tho it does look rather black right? its a very dark faux wood. yea i think that is the new shifter so they decided to give it to me. mine was much different but this new one feels good in my hand.

i think the new one you got is from '07.5+ models....when I test drove the 335, all they had was auto's and that one had ur original knob in it, but when my car was in for the fuel pump bs the 335xi loaner they gave me had the new knob you got.
