You will either find this really sad or really cool, but I lived a dream last weekend and dressed as an Imperial Stormtrooper for my best mate's 30th birthday party. We could go as anything we wanted, so I thought to do something extra special for my buddy (who also loves Star Wars).

We cruised around the bars and clubs of Bristol and I felt like a celebrity with everyone wanting a photo with me. It was one of the best night's out I've ever had! My mate dressed as an American wrestler. Fairplay showing off your crown jewels to the world!!

If it was a 30th birthday I guess most of them were not born/young as The original came out in 1977.

It is possible to like something that was made before you were born though

Costume is excellent .. and a nice bit of posing there

I think it would be ideal for lounging round the house at weekends of maybe dropping into the local for a quick pint on a Sunday morning.

Your mate looks like a plank though

My mate is a top bloke and always game for a laugh. He chose his costume purposely to look like a plank! The girls loved it!!

I was born in 1977 and so grew up watching the movies and playing with the Star Wars toys and figures, so its not really before my time. I was six when Return of the Jedi came out.

Steve, the blaster just slides in and out of the leather holster as required

Costumes are available on ebay if you want one

About six people said that to me and I replied the classic line "I'm Luke Skywalker and I'm here to rescue you!" The girls loved it. They took advantage of me grabbing my crotch and stroking my chest plate. I felt like a piece of meat and had to remind them that a Stormtrooper has feelings...

Bloke I work with has a life size replica stormtrooper in his living room. Incidentally bought off ebay. It looks bizarre but he loves it.
