Which Gaskets to replace??

Got the walnut blast done not long ago for $500 . Shop never mentioned anything about replacing the Valve gasket covers as iv seen to be recommended after the walnut blast on some forums. Any who my smoke out my tail pipe has gotten pretty ridiculous actually recently which Gasket should I be looking at replacing? and noticed when putting oil the other day that there was a milkshake type mixture on my cap? not driving the car anymore till i get this figured out. Thanks 98k miles on heavily modded 07 n54

I think it's your Oil Filter Housing Gasket causing the Milk shake effect on the oil cap and smoke out the tail pipe.
Look it up.

Also, look up my thread on "Valve Cover Gasket Tell Tale Signs"

That would answer the valve cover question.

The milk shake is likely due to the weather your experiencing wherever your at along with not driving the car far enough to cook off excess moisture in your engine oil...the smoke out your exhaust pipe could possibly be caused by the valve cover more specifically the pcv system in the valve cover. That being said-the valve cover and a walnut blasting have nothing in common really..

Milk shake is caused from your intake breather line that has a valve in it. It is located on the top rear portion of the engine. The valve is not functioning properly or at all which makes the oil oxidized.

It would not hurt to pull the intake valve cover off and replace the 6 gaskets.

Oil filter housing gasket-????

Trust me, you will know when that goes bad. There will be a film of dirty oil all over the front and behind the housing unit area and eventually it will run a stream of oil on the ledge where the head gasket is giving the false impression of a head gasket leak. Head gaskets are not a known issues for the N54.
