muffler delete but wrong slanted tips

So I finally got my muffler delete done and I am stoked about the sound and frankly the guy who did for me said that it may benefit the car because of how heavy the muffler was. I ordered the tips from them 2 days ago and got the double walled angle cut slanted tips. I like the slanted look of the oem tips from my 328i.
I was focus too much on how they put the hanger because of the horror stories I read. So I checked that before I left and the sound of course which I got really excited about. I'm at work and now realized that they may have ordered the wrong slanted tip. It looks like it is for the right side because the left tip is longer than the right one. It doesn't look as bad but I just wanted you guys opinion if this is normal and I def don't want to get laughed having a backward tips if there's any. Here's the pics.

are the tips welded or bolted on? if they are bolted, you can adjust them yourself.

It's welded on. It came with the Y pipe already. I figured these guys do it thousand times and they know what they're doing.

Right. It's staggered the opposite of oem so I dont want to look like an idiot who would wear their pants backwards if you know what I mean. I never noticed how tips are placed before so just wondering what everyone's opinion on how this look.

Yeah, definitely backwards. Id have it fixed on their dime. Pretty obvious mistake IMO.

I just realized it's not even backwards. It's a wrong one. Because if I flip so it'sstaggered ccorrectly, the angle will be then opposite. So I guess they have to order a new one.

Yup, if those tips came pre-welded on to the Y, then it is totally wrong/opposite.

Instead of getting an entire new Y with tips - they could simply cut off each tip from the Y & weld each back on in the correct order (shorter on outside/longer inside).

Most people that don't own a BMW, looking at your car, would have no idea they are opposite - but it just doesn't look right (or even good).

I would have them fixed to the correct way, because it would simply bother the snot out of me every time I looked at it

So the shop admitted they got the wrong one and ordered the right one. Got it in 3 days, installed all free of charge. I left them a great yelp review. Now I have peace of mind knowing it's the right one even if it wasn't obvious for those who don't have a bmw.

Honestly most people who own a BMW wouldn't know the difference. Glad you got it fixed trouble free.

Thanks and True. But it's one of those things where you grabbed two different pair of socks and realized it later. People don't know or cant see you are wearing wrong socks but It'll bug you the whole time.
