Quick Gas Price rant

I live in the Bay Area and noticed gas is in the $4.30 range and I'm thinking to myself "oh this is kinda higher than usual" BUT I'm currently in SoCal for a family vacation and gas here is around $5 for prem O.O
Props to all the people in SoCal, guess you gotta pay to play.

$4.55 at Chevron. Got to love the switch to the summer blend. I buy Chevron gift cards at Vons and save $0.20 per gallon though. Every little bit helps.

Try living next to DisneyLand... They jack up the prices for the Tourist. Ugh.

The funny thing about that. Is I'm actually at the park right now lol. Doesn't sound so good considering I might be living in the area next year.

The GasBuddy app is my best friend... Gone are the days of "to hell with it, I'm not going to drive all over town for $0.20 difference." One idea for the gift card: If you do grocery shopping at Vons, doesn't it have some sort of gas discount as well? You can combine that...

Shop at Ralphs then. They do the same promo with Shell.

Yes it doesn't have to be gift cards. Works for groceries. But I think you get more points for gift cards. Sometimes they run promos for 3X points on gift cards. And GasBuddy it's hit or miss for me. I drive to the location and the person puts an enticing gas price but you need a stupid car wash to get that price. Happened often enough that I don't even use the app anymore.

Oh, I thought you meant it as say, a gift card by itself offered $0.20 per gallon discount PLUS the Vons discount.

True... Not necessarily the car wash price, but a recent update allows you to specify if it's a cash vs. credit price, which is what annoyed me about that app back in the day.

$3.99 for Shell diesel. I can only use my Ralphs reward points once a month for lower that to $3.79 but hey, I'm not complaining.

$4.05 for Chevron diesel. Looks like diesel is slightly cheaper than premium depending where you go.
