Detail addicts! Post your products!

Wanted to share my products, which I am extremely fond and confident of, and also wanted to see what else is out there and what you detail addicts are using!

All of my products are from Chemical Guys, have been using their products - and nothing / nobody else since my car arrived. I'm open to other products of course, but I just got hooked on these guys!

Here's my set up

I use a LOT of Chemical guys stuff too, I can't really take a pic since my shit is all over the place, but I see a lot of similar products you are using.

One product that I really love that isn't so popular is the Synthetic Quick Detailer. I hate how some of the more popular detailers streak a lot and are a bit finicky and particular in how you have to apply them. The CG syn QD is just so damn easy to use and NEVER streaks for me, I love the stuff! It smells damn good too and I like the finish it leaves on a metallic black paint.

yeah I have a few different quick detailers - I use the ecosmart to wash the car without water... but to detail it nice, they have a new product called Hybrid V7 - it has some sealant in it as well, took them three years to make - its incredible!

This is my set up. I was too lazy to take it all off the shelf... but i use anything from armor all to meguiar's. I really like meguiar's products the best. They're reasonably priced and offer great products. Also, in the blue bin, i have an extensive towel collection . Only the best towels for the E90

I really want to learn how to properly detail. What are some intelligent ways to learn without damaging my paint? What is some good equipment that I should research and invest in?

Pretty much just use Zaino wash, sealant, leather cleaner, tire dressing, clay bar and quick detailer. Every 6 months I do a full clay, wash, 2 to 3x seal session - then I wash every week and once a month I'll top it with some Meguiars Gold Class wax.

See 2 threads up on what to buy and use. Porter cable 7424xp buffer and three pads: orange for removing swirls, white for polish or glaze and blue for sealant. You can get this and the Wolfgang products at autogeek.net. They have videos to show you how to do everything or youtube it. The wolfgang products come with a dvd to show you. Start with wash and clay bar then swirl, glaze and sealant. Will look like wet glass when done. Easy and you can't mess anything up with any of it. It will cost about $300 for everything but once you use the good stuff you'll understand why.
