Just Another E90 328i

2010 AW E90 328i // Megan Eurostreets // AFE DAS // CF CSL Wing
Stoptech Slotted Rotors // Stoptech Brake Pads // Stoptech Cable Lines

The Road So Far:
  • Debadged
  • 15MM BurgerTuning Spacers - Front
  • 25MM Eibach Spacers - Rear
  • Megan Eurostreet Coilovers
  • Ebay CSL CF Rep Wing
  • AFE Dynamic Air Scoops
  • Stoptech Slotted Rotors
  • Stoptech Brake Pads
  • Stoptech Brake Lines

All the work has been done through Coleman Autobody in Lawrenceville NJ! I highly recommend them Just ask for Tom!

Things to Do:
  • Repaint Fenders
  • Re-solder interior light
  • Sideskirts
  • Roof Spoiler
  • 18" Wheels

I bought the car stock from the dealership right off a lease and it had about 50,000 miles on the odometer. It wasn't what I wanted originally, (was looking more JDM) but after state taxes were added, it was still cheaper than most of the other cars I looked at, so I said fuck it and went for it.

Stock:

Suspension / Spacers:

Alufelgen Wheels (Sold):

[center]

I had these wheels on for about two weeks when I discovered the wheels were bent. Instead of getting them fixed I cut my losses, sold them, and put the stock 16"s back on until I get something better.

Current Status:

I burned the fenders from when I put the 19" rear wheels on. So now I need to get the fenders redone.

Installed the intake, DAS, and interior LEDs yesterday, although I'm now having problems with the LEDs. I broke one of the rear housings so I have to solder it on, and either I changed lights that I wasn't supposed to or I used the wrong bulbs because I'm short two but have two adhesive bulbs that I don't know where they go. And the two side bulbs in my overhead stopped working like five minutes ago.

The intake seems to work well, but I'm paranoid and every little noise makes me wonder if it's working properly.

My brakes should be installed on Tuesday, these ones are toast.

Car has also been having issues. Same issues it's been having the last year, but I think not having really been used in six months has taken a toll. The car has stalled twice, and the revs will sometimes, not always, bounce. Past couple days there haven't been any problems. It has an appointment at Mt Laurel on Monday to get a diagnostic run.

--------------------------------

Turns out the intake was allowing too much air into the motor or something and it was causing the car to stall. I doubt I get it installed again so if anyone wants a AFE Wet Intake for cheap, let me know

Finally got that piece of shit off. I can't get the other wheels off though because they're torqued on too much.

Also.

Anyone know of some awesome 18x10s? I want to get some good solid fitment going early next year since I'm too broke to do it now. Wanna get some goals in mind.

I'm guessing whoever put your wheels didn't use a wrench but a high torque impact drill, go back to them and slowly have them take the bolts off and hand torque them.

Good luck bud

Dude, I had a bout of bad luck with my WRX.

Within two weeks:
-Dad's girlfriend backed into my car
-Got side swiped
-Rock shattered windshield
-Started misfiring
-Almost got hit by a woman just about every day (not generalizing women btw)
-One was coming the opposite way, and tried to floor it to make a turn right in front of me, and ended up flooring it directly into a wall.

I started getting all paranoid and sketched out, so I immediately sold the car. And now here I am with a 335

@angryshortbloke you said your VANOS retaining bolt snapped off? Are you aware that there's a recall out for that problem right now on 2010 - 2012 BMWs (all models that have an inline 6). Includes E90 LCI - a warranty issue, might be able to get reimbursement from BMW.

The recall seems to be for N55 only? My car is N52.

Yeah, I brought it up but they said the recall wasn't in their system yet. Regardless, I only had to pay the deductible for the CPO Warranty, so I'm not really putting out much.

No update really yet. It's sitting in the shop at the moment, to get an oil change, a possible ignition coil change, and a possible brake change.

Looking at getting the 1M bumper from LTMW when I get back stateside. Gonna be getting new wheels and tires too, possible Avante Garde wheels, I haven't decided.

Got a custom made rear diffuser coming in soon, and Im probably gonna order a roof spoiler when I get paid.

nice story and seems like even though you are having some issues, still enjoying the car. it does look kinda funny with 16s and that low.

Haha yeah, I think I'm gonna rock some 18x9.5's all around if I can find some good ones. 19's rub too much.

9.5 seems ballsy. Ive seen 9s up front with 245s i believe without issue. 9.5 will require some stretched tires i believe. I like how the LCI looks low in all stock form though (minus that spoiler, no offense, looks terrible)!
