Getting to the battery's positive terminal
Hey guys -
Trying to install my trickle charger with the jump cables and can see getting to the negative terminal, but the positive terminal is a different story. How does one get to it?

You don't need to reach the actual battery terminals. BMW provides an additional connection point for trickle charging/jump starting/etc. in the engine compartment. It is under the hood on the passenger side way up near the windshield.

+2 (or 3?) Mine is always connected to the terminal under the hood. Don't close the hood all the way either, just the first "notch".

I believe Deltran makes it for BMW. Here's their website: http://batterytender.com/ Oh...mine always worked well on my motorcycle. I've never used it on my BMW. |
