Injectors?

Hello to you all.

I recently bought a 2008 335i It had 52k on the clock, full service ect...
Anyway not long after I bought it the car went into limp mode, had it diagnosed and changed the vanos solenoids, which solved that issue.

Now I am on 57k and for a few thousand miles I've had a lumpy idle, long cranks worse when cold, however when warm still idle shake. Doesn't throw any codes, I changed oil and plugs, to no avail, however when removing the old plugs, only done 10k, cylinder 1 and 5 were highly contaminated with what I think is fuel.

Would I be right in saying I have two bad injectors? Leaking into cylinders causing a long crank?

As I am in the uk bmw want to charge me 200 gbp each injector, so does anyone import them to uk I could get some cheaper. Any advice is really appreciated thanks.

I have a 330i 09 with 50k and i had problems with leaking injectors bmw wanted to charge me over 1500 to change all 6 with a NOX sensor in the end they agreed to pay parts and i paid the labour which was around 300. Maybe worth asking them for a gesture of goodwill?

Maybe however the local dealer isn't interested as I changed the vanos solenoids myself, and it wasn't purchased from a main dealer.
Just quoted 200 for the diagnosis.

Mine wasnt bought from a main dealer either. 200! I was charged just 50 in comparison. What dealer did you go to?

I rang one in Orpington and Maidstone who didn't really seem interested unless I drop the car with them and pay the money for them to sort it lol.

If ecs tuning post to the uk I'm going to change 3 injectors and see if that works

They need to be changed in full sets because a faulty/worn one could take out your new ones. The new ones would have to carry the voltage strain for the duff injectors.

Don't they need coding too ? I believe this is so the car knows the exact flow rate of each injector. Look on youtube for channel "B M Troubeyou". I've not changed injectors on my E91 so I've not got 1st hand expecience of this.

Also try Phil at CPC in Amersham. Indie with a very good rep. Two friends have used him, both were very happy with the experience.
