No. They are new to RF so no one knows but they are made in Germany and probably made by the same company that makes many other BMW compatible speakers as they look very similar. The RF set only replaces the tweeters and the mid-woofers in the doors. I suggest you check out the MB Quart set (available at Best Buy and elsewhere) that replaces the tweeters, the mid-woofers, and the 8" underseat woofers.

I know the speakers just came out this spring and I was hoping if someone in the forum have purchase a set and would share there thoughts. I called a local RF dealer about the RF speakers and he compared them to Focal IFBMW-S that he also offers. I thought that was an interesting statement, but he just telling me anything just to bye them.

They are nothing like Focal. Focal is made in France. The RFs are made in Germany. Jehnert, MB Quart, Rainbow are German manufacturers. Focal also uses metal dome tweeters throughout their lineup - some find them a little overbearing/harsh. The RF set uses a silk dome.

I suggest getting the MB Quart set for the reasons I mentioned earlier (all 3 drivers are replaced, price is quite good, and best buy will take them back if you don't like them).

I think I just might get the speakers. What speakers are you using?

I'm crazy. I plan to do a full blown SQ setup, fully active. Jehnert, HAT L4SE Carbons, Morel Piccolos, Mobridge DA2, Helix DSP. I'll be spending a little money.

The RF set is a re-badged version of the Helix set. RF is the North American distributor for Helix:

I will install mine on Thursday and will report back. I am also installing SWS-8xi subs and a JL XD600/6 amp using a Technic harness. Since I have to do everything at once (otherwise it will be another month or so before I find the time!), I will not be able to isolate the sound difference with just the RFs in.

Carbri330: Did you get a chance to install your Rockford's? How did everything go with SWS-8xi subs and the amp?

I did. One of the SWS-8xi subs is blown so I haven't been able to really try out everything yet. So far I have concluded the amp and subs are perfectly adequate for this middle-aged guy (plenty of power and bass but younger guys may want more low-end). I am undecided about the RFs however. Definitely an improvement but cannot say yet if they are worth it. I'd consider the improvement to be comparable to BSW installs I've done on previous E46 cars.

Sorry I cannot be more specific or helpful. I will repost after living with these for awhile longer.
