There are a few thread regarding this topic, try searching if you need more info. It's pretty simple and straight forward.
First you either need to do a muffler delete (drones a bit) or get a magnaflow muffler 12158 to replace your stock muffler simply because the stock muffler is too big and we need room to create a "dual" exhaust. After that a shop can just do a 90 degree and pipe it towards the passenger side. And obviously you new a diffuser for the setup.

Here are some pics of a few members who have done it

TY... Don't understand the dual on non-turbos meant for a single exhaust. It's not like that does not look bad at all also.

I understand that, It's a classic "Form over Function" :

It doesn't degrade the function, and I think it looks nice. I haven't personally do it but I would

If you wanna be technical you would say I was putting on quads like an m3 not a turbo that isn't dual quads. Doesn't matter if the car is FI or non it's an exhaust. I have a sc on my e36 and didn't feel I needed duals. I think there's bigger issues out there besides doing dual quads lol.

For sound, maybe. Idk. I guess I think quads are kind of overkill. Bigger dual tips would be cooler imo. I also really like large twin tips on the 328s. But to each his own right

Actually, if you have a good exhaust shop, they can make quad with the factory exhaust.

Yea, there was a thread back then forgot his name, I think it was 328avenged or something he managed to do it with the stock exhaust. Although, I though it was a bit more work with more complicated piping. IMO, I just think a different muffler and simple piping looks much cleaner not to mention a better sound than the stock 328 muffler

I have no delusions that it's an M3, just like the way the bumper and exhaust looks. It was going to cost $400 to fix my stock bumper so I figured why not

No worries. I know some people won't like it. The same people that put 20x12 wheels on their car but think quad tips are too aggressive
