False alarm - flat tire in 2006 330i

Thought I received a tire puncture yesterday, when jetting down the interstate. (A little over the speed limit, let's say.
The i-drive alert came on, as well as in the drivers display.
Luckily I was within 20 miles of the BMW dealership, so stopped by.
Ran the tire pressure check, & it came back OK.

Is a false alarm normal, or is it rare??

If it gives you a false alarm, how can you trust the tire pressure test, telling you all is OK???

Any other people experience an errroneous tire puncture warning??

Todd

My warning light came on a few week ago and I thought I had a flat tire. I went to the gas station and topped off all my tires with air and the warning light went away. Maybe one of your tires was just a little low. Could also be due to temperature dropping.
