Wanted to explain the trunkliner removal process for the e91, maybe helping others

Most things are pretty straightforward.

  • start with removing the rollerblind
  • take out the floor compartment cover. Remove the front part as well, otherwise the side panels can't be removed. Just plastic pushpins.
  • fold the seats forward

  • right side : with the rear floor compartment removed you can see two plastic screws holding the side panel, remove these two and pull out the side panel.
  • left side : just take out the panel :-)
  • on both sides, remove the cover plate on the c-pillars. remove the torx bolt and remove the c-pillar covers (this will make things a lot easier and you won't damage them).

  • just push in the clip, and wiggle the seatbelt out

  • pull off the dome. this requires a lot of force. this thing is attached with about 12 double hooked clips. just try to pull up as straight as possible. With the c-pillar covers removed, you won't really damage anything.
  • remove the torx bolt and the fastening loop on the bottom & remove the screw on top.
  • With the dome removed you can pull see the last screw holding the trunkliner. Take it out.
  • Take out the sidewall of the bench. Just pull it to the front and lift it out. Now you should be able to remove the rest of the trim

With everything removed everything is exactly the same as all other 3 series.

Hope this helps you save a lot of time, not having to figure out everything yourself.
