Wouldn't the chance of something going into the intake from a stock charge pipe be very slim seeing as it's positively pressured? I would expect a blown charge pipe to force the debris away.

On a another note, someone who is looking to replace a stock charge pipe from my research is doing so for insurance. We all know that some charge pipes last.... And others fail. If you don't want to spend the money, run the risk.
