I absolutely agree... but let's say the previously Dinan equipped car has been ragged out for the entire 36k mile lease and the engine is shot at 52k miles. Do you think BMW would replace the engine at no cost to the customer?

Hypothetically let's say I ran a PROcede for 36k miles then took it off and sold my car to someone. Assume the indivudual that purchased my car develops engine problems at 38k miles. Do you really think BMW is going to fix their engine under warranty if it can be proven in the data logs (if this even exists in the computer) state that the car has been run at 14 psi before?

My point is: What is DINAN saying by not extending their warranty to match the warranty of the vehicle?

Also, if I have a 100k mile extended warranty right now and go buy the DINAN, then at 60k miles have issues with my engine - I'm willing to bet that BMW will not be paying the repair bill.. They'll blame it on the Dinan software and by then the Dinan software warranty is up, so you are screwed.

Just something for folks to think about before going out and buying the Dinan.
