There is a visor clip mount that comes with the V1. You could use that if you wanted. Truthfully, you can barely even see the radar detector from outside the car. I have mine as close to the roof as possible right to the left of the little hump. It looks pretty flush up there. When I get out of the car, I put the visor down and you can't even tell its up there. Even if you look inside the car, you can't tell....
