21" off the ground is really high. That would be a nice set up. Especially since it's portable. Only thing would be does one have a way of storing it while it's not in operation.
Maybe find a way to strap it to the garage wall ?
I'd get the 5000# version just in case you ever get a mid-sized SUV like an X5. I think the 3 series might weight close to 3500# with a 3.0L engine and adding fuel etc.
