I no longer have the 335i, nor any other BMW (for now, but someday...), but yes, I did eventually figure this out and was able to enable it via NFRM settings.
I believe these are the settings I used, according to the spreadsheet I had maintained of my programming:
- TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_1 = aktiv
- VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL = drl_s
- DRL_TFL_MIT_SML = aktiv
