I've done a lot of research on this regarding the benefits vs the stock air box.
Terry at BMS did some pretty good testing with stock vs DCI to reveal that there is little to no increase in IAT's between the two at idle and under load.

Understandably the weather here in Aus can get pretty hot in summer (especially in WA).
