There's a thread on 5 series auburn on Bimmerfest. It has some pictures of auburn with alpine white, orient blue, dark silver:

To my eye auburn and terra are similar but auburn looks a bit lighter and warmer in tone. Terra is a bit darker, cooler brown in tone... and pretty cool all around, I might add.
Here's a 5 series touring in dark silver/auburn. It gives you an idea, but like terra, auburn is tough to photograph accurately. You really have to see it live, to get it.
