Very interesting read. New twist on limp mode. So maybe its not oil temps or coolant temps? Just maybe, bouncing off the rev limiter causes limp mode? This does make some sense but I don't buy it completely as the sole culprit. However I do find his hypothesis a good one as when I drive in second gear at high rpm's, frequently at or near redline, this is when I get limp mode as discussed elsewhere in this forum. Hum, interesting.
