The key is you need to have a trans tune installed to increase the clutch clamping force. xHP is the app used to tune the trans and you can either get their ots maps or a custom map through Sutphin Tuning.
You can absolutely run 550hp through one if it's healthy.
I'm not sure if the tuner is unaware or just conservative, but reach out to:
- CarAbuser (on s p o o l s t r e e t forum, he's also UK based)
- Wedge Performance
- Twisted Tuning
- Motiv
Any of them can get you taken care of.

See this is what I though since I couldn’t find it online being a ‘known issue’ but I weren’t going to sit and argue with a guy that knows more about the cars than me
I’ve got both xHP stage 2 and MHD 2+ on at the moment and enjoying the burbles since I know I’m chucking out the turbos anyway, and both are great. I may go back and give the green light then to my mate and get them turbos on the way. Was speaking to another tuner anyway who goes through Ken at Wedge but I may just contact them directly. Assuming they offer the service remotely since I’m based in the UK?
