I got my car into the dealer. They repaired the leak and did something to reset the TPMS. I can now reset the TPMS myself. The SA did say the way my reset goes through the prompts is different than any other software version he's seen. It works now, so I'd rather not have the software upgrade.
BTW, my dealer is willing to repair an RFT as long as there's not sidewall damage and you haven't driven on it with 0 psi. $40.
