Hey folks -- I am in the US and have suffered for the last 1.5 years with an N95 (North America version) and iDrive Bluetooth in my 2006 E90. The best I can do is make and receive calls; no phone book sync and no caller ID at all.
I have an N85 (also North America version) on the way, it should be delivered by tomorrow (12 Dec) so as soon as I get it all set up, I will pair it with the car and will report the results. My iDrive firmware was updated about 1 year ago -- not sure of the version, but I have the one with the lighter fonts and graphics (where the Nav system allows you to search for POIs), if that helps others as a reference.
