OK the thermostat has a rage of opening and closing of 230, right now the temps are close to 240. and on heavy traffics and hot temps in PR almost on 250, but never past 250.

the procedure is fairly easy, when you see the motor from front you will see the oil cooler just in the middle of the front of the engine. you have to remove 2 side screws of the cover of the thermostat, and one on the bottom of the oil cooler in order to be able to remove the thermostat cover. once removed, just remove the thermostat and a spring, and screw back the cover and bottom screw.

next enjoy.

by the way remove the oil to evade oil mess.

Most high performance cars have thermostats in the ~200-210 range.

This is the only oddball car that likes oil shearing temperatures daily driving LOL

Any info on how exactly the thermostat is removed?
