The technical rationale... the B-pillar in the sedan provides considerably more structural rigidity vs the coupe- which has a much longer door opening. With a cage tied into the frame at multiple area, that might become a moot point. The non-technical/highly subjective rationale, I prefer the looks of the sedan over the coupe
. Both are great looking cars, but the coupe looks a bit pancaked for my tastes.
