To anyone who is having trouble with disabling the occupancy sensor, I hope my experience helps--I spent hours and days enabling and disabling various codes, along with using different daten files and versions of NCS Expert and found these things to work:

Install latest version of NCS Expert (V4.0.1)
Make sure you have latest daten files (v60.1 as of this writing)
If you've messed around with activating and de-activating random sensors and modules, go ahead and do a fresh install from the daten file to the module (in this case, I did a fresh install of my ABG module)
Have your 4pin occupancy sensor plug connected
Power car on and load NCS Expert
Pull the ABG module as you normally would for coding
In my case, I set parameters OC3 and GK/OC3/POL to nicht_aktiv
Execute
Turn car off
Disconnect occupancy sensor plug
Turn car on and run INPA
Clear error codes through Functional Jobs and Karosserie > Airbag MRS5
Shut car off and wait 5 minutes

This is what worked for me. I read so many threads online and was getting frustrated. Just start fresh with the latest daten files and go from there. Good luck.
