The only way I can see steering rack would affect is stationary and steering lock to lock and hearing some popping. Unless his rack would be basically not tightened at all, I fail to see how it would clunk when driving. I had my rack not torqued to the full 41 ft lbs + 90° and as soon did I did torque it completely to spec no more popping. But I never had clunking. |
He could have mistaken a pop for a clunk?
