Fronts run at 36-37. They like to chew the inner edge so I try to keep the centre higher to alleviate the wear a bit. Not really sure it works mind you!

You don't say what body style you have beyond a 3L diesel.
The OP has a 4 door, Chappers a 2 door, and I have a lardy drop top so it's a bit like comparing apples with pears anyway to be honest.
Tyre sidewall stiffness will also make a difference so you might find with a different brand of tyre you need to run different pressures.

Quite frankly I never wear tyres out anyway with the mileage I do. I either have to replace them due to unrepairable punctures or they get so old that the rubber gets hard and brittle with huge cracks all over the place and they would never pass an MOT! The last full set of 4 I replaced still had 6mm tread remaining.
