BIG MISTAKE for bmw to do this. The VW/Audi DSG is all nice and watnot but no question the SMG is way nicer. SMG is a full manual trany with an automated clutch, so you can rev match, burn out, launch, double clutch with SMG but with DSG its plain old manual, there is no blipping the throttle then dumping the clutch. so big mistake for bmw to do this. sorry but i have an Audi A3 with DSG and it got boring in 2 months thank god i have other vehicles which are all manual or smg.
