A while back my car developed an irregular idle, and being a novice in car repair I replaced regular wear parts (plugs, coils, vanos solenoids). Yes, I'm more of a parts changer than master mechanic. Anyway, it turned out that my torque converter was failing and I changed a bunch of parts that didn't need to be changed. These are the original parts that were on my car except for the oil filter. My car had 75,000 miles when these were taken off.

I have 6 used coils: $80

A Vanos Solenoid: $75

Oil Filter: $10
