You should actually have LESS pressure drop if it is a good aftermarket intercooler. You turbos should actually have a LOWER cycle duty to hit your desired boost pressure, due to better after-cooling.

Pressurize the system using a boost leak tester, it may not even be those two couplers, and smoke machine puts out a few inches water column, NOT enough to test for BOOST leaks, but good enough for the VACUUM/INTAKE side.

Are you using JB3 or Procede?
